How we started.

After identifying a gap in the availability of incontinence products to uninsured individuals, it was this realization that compelled the vision for Loyal Guardian Angels.

Our Mission / History

Senior Lives Matter!

The mission of Loyal Guardian Angels (LGA) is to promote and facilitate healing for disadvantaged elderly populations suffering from wound and incontinence issues in the Greater Houston Area. LGA was founded in 2020 by Sheila Kimble, who was inspired to start the organization due to her personal experience caring for loved ones. Ms. Kimble cared for her late father for 17 years, who became bed ridden due to various medical conditions and resulted in him developing incontinence and wound issues that dramatically compounded the state of his health and quality of his life. Ms. Kimble also cares for her mother, who has battled multiple debilitating medical conditions since 2018.

Sheila Kimble (President)

A Home care provider and Foster Parent, I have even worked with mentally challenged. I’m loyal, loving and dedicated. I feel so honored to say I have taken care of my parents for 20 years but sadly, my dad passed away 4 years ago. My parents were married for 51 years. I was inspired to start my organization due to my personal experience with my mom. I noticed the gap in the availability of incontinence and wound care products for the disadvantaged seniors. It was with this realization that Seniors Lives Matter too! My passion is to help disadvantaged seniors in Houston and Surrounding Areas.

 

Tysha Sandling-Lewis (Treasurer)

I was born in Houston, TX, I am a product of Acres Home. I grew up in a house that showed me the knowledge and understanding of helping one another. I went to Prairie View A& M University and graduated from Texas Southern University in 2017 with B. S in Business Management. I work 14+ years in banking industry reviewing and understanding credit policy and review. This will be my new challenge for me, and I’m honored to work in Non-Profit and ready to make a mark in this new journey.

 

Lashanda Hubbard (Administrator)

LaShanda provides administrative support to Loyal Guardian Angels Inc. LaShanda is a native Houstonian and has worked in the non-profit community in Houston as a Secretary. She received a Bachelor in Health and Human Services. LaShanda developed a strong sense of devotion for the non-profit sector as a Secretary of an Informal Youth Development Program for ten years. This experience gave her a deep appreciation for how non-profits seek to improve the quality of life for our region, one program at a time.

While caring for her mother, Ms. Kimble identified a gap in the availability of incontinence products to uninsured individuals such as her mother. It was this realization that compelled her to take action in her community and prevent other uninsured, disadvantaged elderly individuals from being denied the products and services they direly need. Ms. Kimble has been told she has "healing hands for the elderly" and takes great pride in her work. She additionally possesses professional experience as a caretaker for elderly individuals, which makes her well-suited to carry out her mission of serving this population.
